    Update: I have received many inquiries and am sorting through applications. I will respond to those who seem like the best fit for what the landlord is looking for and have solid income/credit. Please include in your first message a little about yourself and your situation and if you have these requirements. This house is an absolute dream! Rare beautiful a-frame for rent at a very affordable price (very hard to find in Idyllwild these days). Epic west-facing views of the nightly sunset show from the back deck. Tons of privacy with no other houses in view from the deck (but neighbors are close enough behind and on sides of you to still feel connected). Very quiet and peaceful and healing. Feels like a treehouse surrounded by nature. House is ideal for a single or couple using the extra bedrooms for guest room or den (as there is only one shower and it is in the main bedroom). It is not ideal for dogs (no fenced yard) or children (deck is very high with sloped hill below). I am the current tenant, and need to move back east for personal reasons, so I am collecting candidates to pass along to the landlord. I will present her with the top candidates in mid September, and she will want to meet them in person from there. The landlord very much wants the right fit who will appreciate the house and this peaceful mountain lifestyle. The details: - Landlord still deciding if this will be a 1 year+ lease or shorter term 6 month lease-- depends on fit and situation - Current rent may raise slightly for the next tenant (landlord still determining) - Pets may or may not be considered (landlord still determining, case by case) - 1970s A-Frame with some original details (like the awesome original stove and wood-paneled walls) but also some modern upgrades (like new flooring and new carpet for the staircases) - Full working fireplace (also rare up here) - 3 Bedrooms (main floor master with queen-size bed and full bathroom, downstairs basement bedroom with queen and half bath and separate entrance, open loft bedroom with king bed) - Open floor plan of kitchen/dining/living room on main floor - Storage room in basement and large crawl space on loft - Air conditioning unit in main bedroom (barely ever need to use it) - Partially furnished with the basics: beds, dining table & chairs, dressers, living-room seating (plenty of opportunity to add your own touches and decor) Requirements: - Will need a 4 wheel drive for sloped gravel driveway & winter months - Proof of Income & Good Credit - First + Last + Security Deposit - Ability to safely handle a wood-burning fireplace - Tenant covers electricity (approx $75-150 per month, much more in winter months depending on heat usage), water (approx $50/month) and cable/wifi (approx $75/month) - You will need a 4 wheel drive for the gravel driveway and for winter months here - You will need to be comfortable safely using a wood fireplace
