Built in 1898 and once a Jewel in Fred Harvey's famed chain of railroad hotels, La Castaneda was built in the Mission Revival Style. At 25,000 square feet, at its height the hotel had 40 doors, and hosted reunions for Teddy Roosevelt. The saloon is still operating and liquor license can be purchased. Bring back this golden era. Las Vegas is home to a very large number of historic structures with over 900 listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Amtrak stop on the SW Chief Route.
