We affectionately say it's not about the space, it's the place! We have 160 acres dotted with 7 places people call home all overlooking a 35 acre lake, or pastures with animals. This apartment home was created out of necessity for additional living quarters for an employee years ago. That employee moved on and it evolved into temporary housing while families figured out their next home. Each family that came stayed for much longer than they ever expected, (10 plus years, 2 years, 8 months, 12 months). Whatever the need, we had a space that was easy to settle into and give a tenant an experience in the country they never expected. The unfurnished apartment is approximately 1200 square feet with all utilities included. It features a full kitchen with appliances and washer dryer, overlooking an open living room space, one bath with shower, and a half bath, 2 bedrooms with a closet, and a third bedroom/office and a garage with storage area. Our gated property has been our home for over 35 years, and we are still continually amazed by the solitude and peacefulness despite having four other residences nearby. The land has a rich history: originally an amusement park from the 1950s through the 1970s, it was later transformed into a small collection of unique living spaces using several of the original structures. More than 150 acres remain intentionally untouched, providing a natural habitat for abundant wildlife and preserving the quiet, un-manicured beauty of the land. We also host occasional day and evening events at our on-site event center. Remarkably, these events have never created issues with noise or security for our tenants, and the property continues to feel serene and private at all times. Resident Requirements & Expectations This rental is intended for quiet, low-profile individuals who value serenity and privacy above all else. The property is a rustic, country setting and is not suited for a high-activity lifestyle. We operate an event center on the property, and all residents must understand and respect the realities and limitations of living on a working estate. Compatibility with this environment is essential. Non-smoking individuals only. No exceptions. While we care deeply for family, children, and grandchildren, this home is intended for peaceful living. Extended stays, frequent gatherings, or high-traffic visitation are not a good fit. If you are seeking quiet evenings, minimal disruption, and a respectful coexistence, this property may be an excellent match. If not, this will not be a suitable environment.
