Winthrop University sold the 17 acres between the actual school and it's agricultural center to a developer in the 40's or 50's and this neighborhood was built on that land. This neighborhood is 2 blocks from the beautiful Winthrop campus as well as has "in neighborhood" semi-private access to the Winthrop "Farm". The Winthrop "Farm" is approximately 30 acres of walking trails, a lake, a municipal golf course, the Winthrop Fieldhouse, baseball stadium, and soccer fields.
