He gave up his business to move to the area & farm the land producing a hybrid corn still grown today. At 188 years old, this home has had only 8 owners. The home was palced on the Nat. Registry of Historic Homes by the US Dept. of the interior. One notable owner was Ida Langdon, the neice of Samuel Clemens.
