It can be about learning from others, sharing a little yard work, lowering our carbon footprint, and other fun stuff like that. The mental health and long life benefits of shared housing and community are shown in many studies (check out the Blue Zone studies!), but you know that moment when you need to borrow 2 eggs on a Saturday morning for that epic brunch?... now that's where the magic happens right? Anyway, our house is pretty relaxed and we see each other from time to time. Kitchen chats help keep us connected but we're all busy and active out in the community so it's really maybe a 3 out of 10 now days on the scale of social community houses, and probably an 8 of 10 on clean. Everyone living here is practicing calm, quiet, progressive, inclusive lifestyle and working to be socially conscious, equity minded, anti-racist, growth mindset, beautifully imperfect and learning... etc. no drugs please, very limited alcohol use here (some of us are zero) Ok...still interested? here we go with the details... House Info - Early 1920's Craftsman home - Newly remodeled kitchen, stainless fridge, Bosch dishwasher, new sink, counters, etc. - Gas range, microwave, fridge, washer & dryer, etc. - Long term rental past 18 years - Hardwood floors throughout - Lovely back yard, bbq, patio, front porch, front tree area, various options for sunshine on this SE corner lot - Limited storage, basement is separate apartment (Shares back yard) - Easy walk down to the best spot on Greenlake for swimming, paddleboarding, etc. Shared use of paddeboards, kayaks and floaties possible - Plenty of free street parking right outside the house, easy bus/bike options. Bus stop is 1 block up.
