Our home is a lovely red Colonial with white shutters and trim. We collect and make pottery .... so, we call it "the pottery barn." Or Pinedale Manor, because of the large yard. The house sits on a wooded and landscaped one-acre lot in North River Forest, a friendly community of 80 homes with little pass-through traffic. The community is conveniently located to historic Annapolis (12-15 mins.), Rte. 50 (5 mins.), Rte. 97 (8 mins.), BWI airport (25 mins.), as well as shopping and recreation attractions: parks, the Annapolis Mall, 2 movie theaters, farmer's market, aquatic center, nature trails, good restaurants and water activities. A lovely stone walkway and steps guide visitors to the home. Shrubs, perennial flowers and potted flowers decorate the path. We enjoy our large living room and kitchen, with the adjacent TV room, which contains skylights, a fireplace and French doors to the deck. We use the dining room as an office, because that suits our lifestyle. The entryway and TV room have hardwood floors. The south-facing kitchen has ceramic tile and new appliances; it is bright and sunny and has a lovely double window to enjoy the view of the flowers and woods in the large backyard. The "breakfast nook" is large enough for a table that easily seats six. Upstairs there are two bedrooms; they contain hardwood floors. There is a hallway bathroom with a skylight. The master bedroom suite is large, carpeted and contains a sitting/dressing room hideaway for reading or quiet relaxation. Two large closets separate the bedroom from the reading room/dressing area. The master bathroom is spacious with ample shelving and a skylight. The basement has a large bedroom (carpeted) and a large tiled recreation room, which currently is used as a pottery studio. We have TWO wheels! There is a laundry room, with new front-loading washer and dryer. There is a walk-out to the backyard. We have enjoyed crab feasts, BBQs and even a concert on the back deck. Also relaxing naps in the hammock. The yard contains many tall trees, as well as several ornamental trees (crepe myrtle, magnolia). It is landscaped with many flowering shrubs: rhododendron, mountain laurel, heavenly bamboo, knock-out roses, fall-blooming camelila, viburnum, forsythia. And lots and lots of hearty flowers: daisies, day lilies, irises, daffodils, chrysanthemum, bee balm, black-eyed Susans, lamb's ear .. and more. You can have cut flowers from March to November! The outside of the house was painted in 2014. The gutters and downspouts were installed in 2012. Basement carpet installed in 2015. We love Annapolis -- it's got everything bigger cities have, without the hassles. We are moving because we're starting to downsize. We've had a lot of fun here, and many good things have happened....the house has "good mojo."
