    PRICE REDUCED! The La-Z-Boy club was founded in 1951 by one of the original 2 founders of the La-Z-Boy furniture company, Mr. Ed Knabusch. A book with information on Mr. Knabusch that mentions the La-Z-Boy Club is located in the cabin. The La-Z-Boy Club is located about 15 minutes from both Onaway and Rogers City, with several attractions in the area such as lighthouses, the Ocqueoc Falls, the underground river, etc. The Silver Creek snowmobile trail is located on the north side of the property, and the Alpena-Mackinaw shore to shore snowmobile trail is located on the south side of the property. The cabin is 35 minutes from I75, 1 hour from Gaylord, 1 hour from Mackinaw, 1 hour to skiing at Boyne Highlands, and 1 hour to Alpena. There are several lakes on the property. The lodge is located between and has beautiful views of both Bear Lake to the north of the lodge and Duck Lake to the south of the lodge. Bear and Duck Lakes are too shallow for fish, but waterfowl including ducks, geese and loons use these lakes. A dug canal interconnects these 2 lakes. Richard Lake is located to the west side of the property, and about the east 2/3 of this lake is located on La-Z-Boy. This lake has some nice bass and bluegill in it. There is a lake on the state forest at the northwest corner of the property, and there is lake frontage on this lake too. There is also a dug pond at this same northwest corner entirely on La-Z-Boy with lots of bluegills. The property is zoned agricultural, with a horse trail riding exemption. There are about 3 acres fenced in over the hill from the lodge, with 2 horse hitching rails, a heated automatic waterer, separate water hydrant and RV plugs for camper or horse trailer. A feeder and tramp shed are located east of the lodge across the canal, to avoid any odors. The 12x20' tramp shed has separate gates to allow livestock to be locked in the tramp shed or loaded into a trailer. The 36'x60' barn was built in 2007 by an Amish crew in 4 days. A 20x36 shop is located at the south end with a wood burner stove. The shop floor drains to a center floor drain for easy cleaning, with an over the hill to the east. A loft above the shop provides extra storage, or hay mow if horses are kept in the barn. At the north end are 2 horse stalls and a 20x24 dirt floor tramp shed area for horses, with a separate water hydrant for a horse tank. The rest of the barn has a concrete floor, with 6" concrete in the center aisle and 4" concrete on the sides. The lodge was built in 2008 by an Amish crew and is approximately 2800 total square feet. The main bedroom is located on the main floor, with 2 bedrooms upstairs and a bunk room in the basement. A full bath is located on each floor. The knotty wood siding in the family room on the main floor is red pine, and the wood siding in the basement is jack pine which was cut off of the La-Z-Boy. The fireplace has a heavy case box which weights about 1700 lbs with 1/4" plate walls. The front and back porches have exposed beam construction, and the beams were lifted into place by hand by the Amish. The heating system is a combination heat pump and natural gas forced air system. The heat pump located outside operates for air conditioning and for heating down to 34F. The natural gas forced air system operates at temperatures below 34F. A walk in basement provides access to the mud room, which has a washer and dryer, oversized wash sink, center floor drain for easy floor cleaning, and lots of shelves and coat hooks for hunting or snowmobile clothing. The septic system was put in new when the lodge was built in 2008 and has a 1000 gallon tank with 2400 sf of field tile, located over the hill between the house and barn. A new 4" well pump was installed in the old 4" casing on the south side of the house, and an extra 1" pipe runs from the pressure tank to the corner of the 2 car garage for easy use in case the well ever needs replaced. The water softener is an on-demand rather than a time-based system
