We are offering our home for rent for a year. This is a three bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house with an open plan living area, plus a quiet office space. The house is comfortable and cozy with a wood burning stove, for cold winter evenings and a pretty yard with a fire pit for summer nights under the stars. The house is nestled into the cedars, with a fenced vegetable garden is ready for spring planting and six healthy hens to lay you eggs. We have a super easy chicken set up and hope our renter will allow the hens to stay. A portion of the property around the house is fully fenced to keep your (well behaved) dog at home. We would prefer to leave the major furniture for your use, but can rent empty if needed. The house is located on the south end of Lopez Island close to Watmough Bight, Coleville & Iceberg Point for great hikes and beach time. Mud Bay is minutes away, a great place to paddle board or kayak. The Southend Market and Restaurant is nearby for quick groceries or dinner. Lopez Island, with its year round population of 2500, is a tranquil and beautiful place. Our neighborhood is quiet and peaceful even when the Island is busy with Summer visitors. It's the best of both worlds, access to all that the Island has to offer, kayaking, biking, hiking, music, arts, great food & friendly people, then retreat to your quiet cozy home, to garden, read and relax. No smoking Renter responsible for utilities - electricity, internet/phone, heating oil/wood. One cat and/or one dog Security deposit and 1st months rent due in advance Landlord retains use of storage buildings on the property. Additional tenants must be approved by landlords. Renter responsible for cutting grass during summer months The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, noise must be kept to reasonable level. Visitors & tenants limited to 6 total at any time. Home is partially furnished (this is negotiable) Preference to renters who are willing to care for our 6 laying hens - easy set up and you get daily eggs. Credit report, background check and references will be obtained through Zillow. Landlord will accept a reusable tenant screening report. Multiple missed payments, evictions for non-payment of rent or misuse of rental property may result in rejection of application.
