We are looking for one more young professional or student that is, easy going, clean, respectful of others, respectful of the common areas, social, and responsible. Out of respect for the other housemates, there will be no smoking of any substances inside the house. Some of the things we like to do together are communal cooking, watching movies, nights out on the town, and planning day trips and activities together. If this sounds appealing to you, please keep reading! "The Pink House" is a Victorian style home that was built in 1901. It has been remodeled several times since then. The downstairs features high ceilings, crown molding, and lots of natural light. The majority of the upstairs was long ago converted from attic space and the partial diagonal ceilings and lots of skylights give character to the upstairs bedrooms! Despite having the partial angled ceilings, the rooms are quite spacious and have plenty of floor space with greater than 6 foot head clearance. The ground floor has beautiful 10 foot ceilings with crown molding. The house features four full bathrooms, three of which were remodeled within the last 3 years. Unlike some of the other lodging opportunities near SJSU (dorms included), no one will try to micro-manage your life. You can do what you want provided you remain respectful of the other housemates and the common areas. We try to keep overnight guest to 2ish night a week out of respect for the other tenants and to try to keep the house a peaceful place. Extended guest visits are welcome with prior approval/heads up to the other tenants. We have a few things going for us that help maintain an easy and stress-free living situation. One of these things is having a cleaning service come every other week to clean the common areas. This service is included in the rent. Also included in the rent is toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, 200mb/sec WIFI, electric, gas, trash, water, sewage, and washer/dryer on site. We have lime, apple, orange, peach, and cherry trees on the property. Parking is permitted street parking only ($35/year). To secure your spot in the Pink House you will need to pay the first month's rent, and a security deposit (one month's rent). You will receive the entire security deposit back when you move out provided there is no damage to the room and you leave the room as clean as you found it. All rent payments will be due on the first of the month via Venmo electronic transfer. The lease term starts at one year and can be converted to month to month after that if the tenant choses to do so. We are currently looking for single occupancy only. The walk in closet area provides a very large amount of storage. The carpet is in great condition and was shampooed after the last tenant moved out. This room is perfect for someone who likes cozy and quirky spaces. Two of the three bathrooms at the residence are conveniently located right next to this room, one of which was newly remodeled at the beginning of this year with luxurious tile and an opening skylight in the shower. One year lease that can convert to month to month upon request.
