We purchased this house in 2001 as a weekend get away, in 2004 we decided too make it our permanent residence. Since it only had 720 SF heated and cooled, and one bath we began an extensive 6 month renovation leaving only the floor and roof trusses along with portions of 2 exterior walls. Everything else was completely demolished. We increased the SF to just under 1200 an added an additional bathroom, moved the washer and dryer upstairs added 3 additional concrete filled piers, and completely replaced the roof, walls, flooring, porch, stairways, windows, doors, heating and AC. In addition we built an 11 X 18 Ft. utility room downstairs with ½ bath an AC. After the house was completed we had the driveway paved and a concrete slab poured for parking a boat or motor home, added a sprinkler system, installed power and water to the dock and had the entire lot landscaped and sodded. When we bought this house it was more for the lot, boat ramp, and dock than the building itself. We new from the beginning it would need extensive renovation if we intended to live here permanently. Watch dolphins and manatees swim virtually in you back yard, along with some of the most beautiful sunrises you can see anywhere. Completely Furnished / Stilt home, In the past year we have added an Elevator to the top porch, no more climbing stairs.
