The Beta Xi Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau and their new home at 558 West Broad Street was renamed and dedicated as Crane Hall in October 2013. Formerly a Steak and Ale, Taco Mac and the Red Rooster among several restaurant concepts, the building was converted into a fraternity lodge for the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity at the University of Georgia in 2012, and then a second story addition was added, housing 30 members. Neighborhood Description Fraternity lodge is at the western edge of downtown Athens. Four blocks from UGA Arches, downtown and Old Campus, three blocks from UGA dorms and main campus...short walk to Sanford Stadium and UGA football games. Plenty of onsite parking and a new experience in fraternity housing.
