Reedsport, and some very tasty oysters, beautiful sand dunes, and other coastal delights, are about 30 minutes away. The deck overlooks the 55 acres of pasture, creek, and trees on the mountainside. The farm includes a 200 foot park along the Umpqua River, where you can swim, put in your boat for fishing, or use it for part of your Iron Man workout. People from all over the world visit this area to fish the Umpqua River and go hunting in the nearby woods. There is a garden area where you could grow your own veggies and a chicken house/yard if you'd like to have chickens. Coho and Chinook salmon pawn in the creek, along with otters and crawdads.
