Welcome to the neighborhood! I loved this condo while I was in grad school and hope that you do as well. The metro and the pool down the street got me interested, but what really sold me on it originally were the windows. The view is amazing and the corner location lets in all the natural light one could ever need. These front cubbyhole windows up top gave it a lot of charm and a great opportunity to show off some small pieces of art I’ve picked up. Speaking of, the shops around here are great. Third degree glass factory, a few blocks away, offers glass blowing classes (I took two), monthly open houses with a live band, fire spinners, and demonstrations, as well as a great mix of incredible pieces – and at surprisingly cheap prices. Just a block away is the Tavern of Fine Arts (next door to the Circa Properties offce), with great food, drinks, and more live performances – mainly musical, but with some live art sessions as well. The proximity to Forest Park was also ideal for my wife and I (we lived together here for 6 years). A bike takes you to the zoo, museums, MUNY (our summer musical company, if you’re new to the area), and beautiful trails. The Forest Park metro station also makes for a single-stop trip to either the Wash U medical or Danforth campus, and an under-twenty minute ride down to the baseball stadium or the airport. It’s been a real blessing.
