Enjoy the peace and tranquility of old Hawaii, on the slopes of Mauna Loa, just 15 minutes from Target, at the House of Light Sanctuary. This room is in a spacious 7-bedroom home. It is fully furnished, including linens, bedding, towels. It has a trundle bed/couch, a dresser, a writing table, and a good-sized closet. The room looks out on an acre of grassy garden, on 4 lush acres with a private 3-acre forest. The air and water are pure and cool, at 1000 feet elevation. Keep your windows open and the tropical breezes will blow through your room. You can park right in front of the house. This place is safe and secure. Take soothing walks among the colorful flowers, fruit trees and birds, watch the goldfish in the pond, pick your own fresh oranges. It's like living in an arboretum. On a clear night, the unobstructed view of the stars is spectacular. You would share the big farm-style kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining room and sun porch that overlooks the lush yard, with a distant ocean view. There would be another housemate or two, and the owners live upstairs. Joy is an author who writes about holistic healing, and James is a musician who plays at the Farmer's Markets. They will be hosting occasional musical and holistic healing events at the Sanctuary. There is also a Bamboo Bathhouse with an outdoor shower and a big tub, and a 10-Person Glamping Tent (perfect if you have people visiting). We do a 20-minute Ecstatic Dance Workout at around 4 pm most days, and House Concerts on Friday nights.
