    Fort Sumner is known as the burial place of Billy the Kid, but so much more! Fort Sumner has Pre-K-12 school with strong ratings in academics and athletics. The town is in a small valley with agriculture as the primary industry but there is a medical clinic, pharmacy, EMT's for emergencies, grocery store, hardware/lumber biz, bank, restaurants, motels and all the businesses any small town would need. And if you like the water we have Sumner Lake only 15 minutes from town (skiing, fishing, swimming, etc.) and 5 minutes to the Bosque Redondo Slough for stocked fishing and camping. We also have the Bosque Redondo Memorial open 5 days a week with people from all over the world visiting the rich history of some of the New Mexico Native Indians. We are about an hour from a Walmart, Sam's Club, Home Depot or Lowes and hospitals and 2.5 hours from 3 major airports. This small town home feels so cozy but with lots of room. It's been updated and remodeled several times and is now in the current color tones and with newer appliances and such to make it a great place to live and possibly raise a family. There is a possibility of much of the furniture staying as well so take a look and give me a call.
