I need to get my stuff together and go home back to Europe. You will be starting a new 1 year lease with the Landlord of this building. Its not a sublet or flat share. Since I will be referring you directly to the landlord, there will be no broker fee. There is a $50 application fee. Unfortunately, this is a no pet building. The apartment: 5th floor with an elevator. But considering it is on Fort Washington Avenue, which is on a 400 ft cliff, you are much higher up. Views of uptown and the Bronx from windows. The building has stayed the same since it was built, so no apartments have been chopped up. They are big! 1 Queen bedroom. It can easily fit a a queen bed with nightstands, 8 drawer chest, sofa table and room for more. It is big! It also has two large closets. South and East facing. Sun drenched all year round. 1 Bathroom. One bathroom with the original Art Deco fittings from the 1930s/1940s. Plenty of character. 1 eat in kitchen. A separate eat-in kitchen with a door. Sunken living room. A large, east facing living room that gets plenty of light. Dining area. A separate dining area. This could make a perfect home office area. Time Warner Cable serves the building. You pay for gas and electricity through Con Ed. The building: A friendly, well run Art Deco building on Fort Washington Avenue. The lobby has not been changed since it was built and was featured in Time Out magazine. Laundry room in the basement. Bike store area. An eclectic mix of tenants with young families, young professionals and middle aged people. When tenants move in, they stay. My neighbours are friendly and have lived here for up to 20 years. No doorman but UPS, FedEx, etc. deliver to the mail area without a signature. This a very friendly, respectful, and safe building. Again, unfortunately animals are not permitted. The location: The building is located at approx. 186th and Fort Washington Ave. 2 min walk to the A train. M4 bus stops very close by. 5 min walk to Fort Tryon park, one of NYCs most underrated parks, it is stunning in Spring and Summer. 2 minute walk to Bennet Park. Lots of small restaurants and cafes nearby. This area has a village feel to it and you see the same friendly faces out and about. 18 minutes to 59th St Columbus Circle for that morning commute. Application requirements: Landlord will run a credit check - you must have a decent score. Salary approx. $70k Bank statements Letter of employment Guarantors accepted (I believe)
