Extremely nice well-kept neighborhood centrally located, surrounded by more expensive areas on East and West sides. Most homes are one-story brick ranch-style. Many neighbors look like the original owners, retired middle-class, but with younger families starting to move in. Even tho' it's only 5 blocks north of Park Mall, you hear birds chirping all day long. Seems like a little pocket of paradise, close to everything. The backyard faces north and has the elementary school's enormous play field behind it, so it has mountain views, with no fear of anything ever blocking them. The school "bell" is not loud or annoying, more like a brief muffled buzz. The children primarily play on the North side of school, so the distance sounds of their laughter is actually very nice, before the first bell sends them inside during the school year. School year here is approx Aug 15th thru' May 20th. See lots of dog-walking neighbors in the early morning and after dinner.
