We re offering our family home for sub-let, furnished, from Aug 1 to Jan. 1. It's a 15-min walk/4-min drive to BART, which goes to San Francisco, Berkeley, airports etc. Walkable to parks; close to huge hiking areas, short drive from: Berkeley, Bay beaches, groceries, varied dining. The house is 1,350 square feet. In the front of the house are the dining room, living room and newly remodeled kitchen in an open floor plan, with lots of afternoon light and views of Mt. Tam and the north San Francisco Bay. In the back of the house are three bedrooms and the bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed and a desk that gets morning light. A middle bedroom is the smallest and has a loft bed and sliding doors that open to the backyard. The third bedroom has a full-size (double) bunk bed (i.e., each bunk sleeps two adults). The kitchen is fully equipped and newly remodeled, with all major appliances and including microwave, toaster, blender, and Instant Pot, etc., plus granite countertops. There are cooking pots, pans, and accessories; dishes and glasses; etc. There are a washer and dryer, and a chest freezer, in the garage. There's no parking in the garage, which is where we will store our personal belongings, but you may park in our slanted driveway (where we park) or in ample space on the street in front of the house. There's a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, and we have wood that guests can use (subject to local air quality restrictions). There's also a piano and a TV, which includes streaming services for movies and shows (Netflix) and cable channels (through Sling TV). The large, sunny, laid-back backyard is great for kids and pets, and has a BBQ grill and basketball hoop. The front yard also gets lots of sunlight and has a patio for hanging out. Utilities are $500/month, payable to owner, which includes all the basic utilities (incl. central heating), wi-fi, basic gardening, Netflix. Short-term rental available for up to 5 or 6 months. Owner pays all utilities, wi-fi, Netflix, gardener, etc., approx $450-500 value.
