Hi there! We are looking for a low-key individual to rent, on a long-term basis, our basement suite in our beautiful, spacious lakeside townhome in Burke. We are located in the Waters Edge Landing community on Lake Barton, which is about .73 miles around with an awesome nature path to walk/run around the lake. An extremely relaxing environment, our neighborhood (6 minutes south of GMU's Fairfax Campus) is also super convenient for DC professionals, with easy access to Metrobus (right at the neighborhood entrance) and the VRE/Mason shuttle (2-3 minutes driving). Being located directly off of Burke Centre Parkway, we have quick access to 123 and the Fairfax County Parkway, as well. Grocery stores (Safeway, Giant, SuperWalmart, Target) are all less than 5 minutes away, located in the several shopping centers that are nearby. The Basement Suite: It has a bedroom (~10'x13') with a private entrance & walk-in closet and a separate living area (~12'x18') with patio entrance, but furnished. The tenant will have their own private bathroom, as well as access to the laundry room located in the basement. Both the bedroom and living room have a really gorgeous lake view of Lake Barton! Costs: We require a lease term of at least a year, though we prefer someone who would like to stay longer. Rent is $1,500/month including utilities (elec., water, internet, trash). To move in, we require first month's rent and a security deposit equal to one month's rent. What we are looking for: We are looking for one (1) professional or serious student who is responsible, respectful, and clean. We are non-smokers and are not big party people, and we would expect the same of our tenant. Also, we are unable to accommodate any pets in our home. You should have a verified source of income and be able to pass a credit & background check. The basement is available for move-in now.
