PLEASE EMAIL TO SCHEDULE AN APPT FOR A SHOWING **THIS COTTAGE CAN OCCUPY A MAXIMUM OF TWO PEOPLE. PLEASE DON'T ASK FOR MORE PEOPLE. And I cannot hold to rent it for anyone for over the summer or fall or do sub-leases. It will need to be occupied as soon as possible.** This is a charming vintage cottage just four blocks to the beach on the west side of Santa Cruz. It is located just behind the owner's/landlord's house on the same property off Delaware and Woodrow in the circles neighborhood. It has a gas stove, standard size private washer/dryer in unit, private front yard area, a small dedicated private backyard with lockable gate, and plenty of on-street parking right in front of the cottage. The rooms are not the same size. One is considerably smaller than the other. The large room can fit either a queen size bed or two twin beds with night stands and dresser, and has a large walk-in closet. Smaller room can be used as an office space, yoga/meditation room, or storage area. Recent new construction has been done including: New roof, new exterior paint, all new major plumbing replacement, two new windows ordered for large bedroom (installation estimated 5/4), new front facade siding repair, new interior paint, and improved front yard landscape. Upgrades in 2017 prior to last tenant were: new flooring, remodeled bathroom, new wall heater, two new windows in bathroom and small bedroom, front deck and marble counter in kitchen. And although there have been a lot of upgrades, this cottage is over 100 years old so it has its own quirks, some creaky floors, a few drafty windows, and is not perfect if comparing to new construction just in case this is not your cup of tea. This is a wonderful and coveted location. Just a 5-minute walk to West Cliff, Its and Mitchells beaches, and Steamer's Lane. New Leaf Grocery, Humble Sea and Santa Cruz Brewing, wine tasting venues, and many local restaurants are all within walking or a minute's drive. Close proximity to Hwy 1 and 17. Bus stop is right across the street to bring you downtown or up to UCSC. Free ample on-street parking. The property is quiet, respectful, no shared walls, no excessive partying, and with good neighbors all around you will feel right at home. Additional Details: No cigarette smoking, no exceptions 1 small dog (20 lbs or less) OR 1 cat negotiable with additional deposit, subject to approval Maximum occupancy: 1 or 2 people only Tenant to pay for their own utilities* 1 Year Lease Rent: $3,000/Month Deposit: $3,000 Credit report/application fee: $35 (waived if provided by Zillow) Available After April 10th Utilities: The cottage will soon receive its own PG&E bill and the tenant will be responsible to call to start their own power. PG&E may not be finalized before move-in but shortly afterwards. Until finalized, the tenant will pay 35% of PG&E bill. The cottage has its own water meter installed and will be tallied monthly and tenant will pay their portion of water used. Garbage and sewer charges will be split.
