About the room/property: My house is less than 5 minutes outside the village of Trumansburg, but has the feeling of being tucked away in the country. The house is on a little over an acre of land, which I like to continually improve and make more friendly for flora, fauna, and human enjoyment. If you like to garden, there is room for that here. We're also continually working on making the house more homey, and it's already very cozy and welcoming. The house has an open concept living area, with a kitchen, dining room, sun room, and living room. The house is clean and mostly tidy. The room available for rent is 10ft x 12 ft with a closet, and a shared bathroom. It has a lovely view of the yard, and gets good natural light throughout the day. About the housemates: I'm Vi (like 'eye'), the owner of the house. I live here currently with my best friend and our cats. I'm hoping to find a roommate with no pets, but would consider 1 cat or smaller animals as well. We're clean and tidy, mostly introverted, and community-focused, and we're hoping to find someone else who is also open-minded and collaborative to share the home. We're friendly, and would be comfortable rooming with someone who might like to join us for a bonfire or share a joint every once in a while but also happy to be more like passing ships. This house won't be a great fit for an extrovert, or someone who wants to host parties. We are a mostly quiet house, keep to ourselves often, with occasional gatherings of friends. We share household chores and many household resources. I hope to find someone who would like a quiet, peaceful setting, and is also willing to share common chores and use direct communication. No maintenance responsibilities outside of wear and tear considerations - closing your window when it rains, wiping up spills so the floor doesn't get damaged, etc.
