This gives the tenant an opportunity to make use of your monthly rent payment How much money is required to rent the home? The first months rent plus the security deposit. How much money is required to lease-option the home? $3,000 plus first month rent Does a portion of my rent go towards the purchase price of the house? If the rent remains at the advertised rent amount, there is no portion of the rent that will be applied towards the rent payment. However, you may increase the rent by $50 per month, and we will allow $100 towards the purchase price. For example, if you allow your rent to go to $825, you will receive a credit of $100 per month over the period of the original lease agreement for every month paid on time. So, if the lease is for 24 months and the extra $50 is paid every month, a credit of $2,400 can be earned. What happens if I decide not to purchase the house after I signed the lease-option?
