This is very large two bedroom apartment at the El Cerrito which is located at 608 East Lynn St. in Seattle's Eastlake neighborhood. The El Cerrito is a 1920s Everett Beardsley, Mediterranean style design that features tiled baths and kitchens, hardwood floors; nine foot beamed and coved ceilings, and arched windows with stained glass accents. This unit is on the second floor and takes up the whole east end of the building. There are no shared walls with any other apartments. It is very spacious at an honest 1300 square feet. There are two very large bedrooms, a big living room; a formal dining room (that will easily seat 12), a good sized kitchen, a tiled bath and lots of storage. The apartment has two entrances; one off a back stairwell and the other through the building's tiled hallway which is accessed through the intercom controlled front door. There is also a shared roof top deck one floor up with picnic tables, barbeques and sweeping views of Lake Union and downtown Seattle. The El Cerrito has never been remodeled, so the interiors have lots of the original charm and interesting fixtures. The damage deposit is $800. The rent includes water, sewer, garbage AND hot water, but not electricity. There is a free storage locker in the basement of the building and free bicycle storage in a converted garage with outside access. Parking is only available on street. Laundry is shared. However it is only $1.00 (total) to wash AND dry. Plus, there is plenty of space in the laundry room to store your detergents, dryer sheets, etc. The El Cerrito is a "mom and pop" owner managed nonsmoking building. We will consider small pets on an individual case basis. The apartment will be available July 11. Possibly sooner if needed.
