This is one of the best neighborhoods in Charleston. This is an older well established neighborhoods with fully grown Live Oaks and other trees. Directly next to the Goose Creek Reservoir with wildlife (bird watching) and fishing. We are also have the distinction of having the oldest home in South Carolina, a plantation home that dates from the 1700's. This neighborhood has been named after the Otranto Plantation. Great custom and semi-custom homes with no restrictive regime/home-owners fees. Beautifully maintained neighborhood from volunteers and supported by a $25/per year Civic Club. This is one of the few neighborhoods that I would truly feel comfortable having children playing outside unsupervised. Neighbors are extremely friendly and one of those places that the neighbors come and bring welcoming gifts when you move in. There isn't anywhere else that I would rather live.
