Fully equipped and finely furnished bungalow. 2min from East Side's best restaurants and bars, and a 12 minute drive to Downtown. Loads of beautiful nature trails to explore that you can enter on our block, along with the iconic Montopolis bridge with downtown skyline views that have the most beautiful sunrise and sunset. The space: Enjoy this cozy house that's rich with natural lighting in the daytime, and set up with moody color changing lights for the night time. You can enjoy cooking in the kitchen with a gas stove top and a beautiful garden view with floor to ceiling window. Find the bathroom behind the secret Persian painting sliding door, and enjoy showering with a full floor to ceiling garden view, that's set up with one way windows for privacy. Cool cement floors, open ceilings and ceiling fans in every room, a round grand dining table you can enjoy meals or work on, in an overal peaceful private space. You have access to the whole property (front yard/back yard). You can pick fresh herbs from the garden and I'll ask you to water the plants during your stay. Please note that the place is a tasteful wild jungle there are mosquitos, beetles, butterflies galore, toads, flys and critters. Mostly outside, but some may welcome themselves in when you leave the doors open. There are no screens on any windows for unobstructed garden views imagine a highly elevated glamping experience, and there's essential oils, copal incense and Cat to help defuse. There's a main AC unit that covers most of the house with additional help of the fans, but don't expect the coolness you'd get from central air. This is a minimalistic bungalow that's widely decorated to inspire and delight your stay organically in Austin. Also, you must live with Cat-our house protector. He's super chill and mostly sleeps inside all day while exploring a few minutes outside. I ask no pets because we already have one in the house. Please also note, I live here full time. All of my cloths, books, things, artwork, essentials are set. Everything can be enjoyed and should be exactly the way it was when you entered. You may need to keep your cloths in luggage since there isn't much extra closet space. No parties or large groups are allowed because there is a lot of valuable and delicate antiques that you'll be responsible for if disturbed. Plenty to enjoy easily for a solo traveler or couple of two. This is a perfect spot if you're looking to enjoy an extended stay in Austin, or have a staycation in an inspiring, organic, peaceful home where you can read, cook and be immersed with nature. This is a short term rental for 2 weeks only. Owner pays for water, electric, internet during stay.
