    What's special

Historic Queen Anne Victorian residence within steps of Forsyth Park in the Landmark Historic District of downtown Savannah! This home built in 1888 was constructed for the family who once owned a horse and carriage dealership on Broughton Street and was maintained and lived in by the family until the mid 1970’s. With only four owners since then this home has been closely held for its grandeur and significant architectural details including the Charlestonstyle side porch. Renovated from the ground up, this well maintained home has an inviting gourmet kitchen and boasts 6 fireplaces, formal rooms and spacious bedrooms. This home was also featured in the annual Savannah Tour of Homes in the spring of 2005 and hosted 1,300 plus visitors to a historic experience. Neighborhood Description Savannah’s Landmark Historic District is on the National Historic Registry and was laid out by Gen. James Oglethorpe when he founded the thirteenth colony of Georgia. Today the city has returned to its former glory with the renovation of many of these historic structures. The Savannah College of Art and Design’s campus is the downtown area encompassing the Landmark, Victorian, and Thomas Square historic districts as well as several other nearby campus facilities. The main shopping area downtown is Broughton Street and has seen amazing resurgence in the last few years including the addition of Marc by Marc Jacobs and a host of other national and regional retail stores. Forsyth Park is akin to the Central Park of New York, on a smaller scale with the wonderful Forsyth Park Fountain and a walk/bike path around the entire park used by Savannah’s active residents and visitors.
