I'm looking to assign the remainder of the lease for my beautiful, sunny, true-1BR/1BA apartment in FiDi ($2975/month). The current lease ends in early January 2017. The apartment: A true 1BR/1BA -- a rarity for under $3,000 in Manhattan. It's 500 square feet, with large windows and a clear view of the sky -- also a rarity here. The whole building was recently renovated; the appliances are shiny and new. Also: granite countertops. I love this place. The only reason I'm leaving is to take a job that is amazing but presents a significant pay cut. The vibe: The Financial District means easy access to every subway line (see below). Idyllic Stone Street is right around the corner. The area's food-cart game is strong; the same goes for nearby bagel and late-night pizza options. The building is convenient to running paths and the great outdoors, with Battery Park, the Hudson River, and the East River each a short walk away. Public transport: -2/3 (2-minute walk to 2/3 at Wall Street) -4/5 (5-minute walk to 4/5 at Wall Street) -J/Z (4-minute walk to Broad Street stop) -N/R (6-minute walk to Rector Street stop) -A/C (7-minute walk to A/C at Fulton Street) -Various bus lines (2-minute walk to bus stop at Wall and Water Streets) Building amenities: -24-hour doorman -Elevator -Fitness center -Sun deck -Card-operated laundry -Dry-cleaning concierge (drop-off and pick-up) -Bike room -On-site parking garage -Storage facility -10,000-sq-ft lounge with free WiFi; card, foosball and billiard tables; and a grand piano (!) -TV room Also of note: The building is a 3-minute walk to the nearest Equinox, if you're into that. Thanks!
