Henry Ruckel built this 1-story Greek Revival in 1833 for use as rental property. Ruckel owned all of the lots fronting on Main Street from 611 W. Main to the corner of Old Georgetown St. This was one of a pair of brick houses, the other at 631 W. Main is long gone. The brick portion of the house is laid in the stretcher, stretcher, and header pattern somewhat unique to early Kentucky. The present owner in 1998 constructed the frame addition. At that time Miles Miller was engaged to completely redo the masonry structure including fireplaces and chimneys. The house is a work in progress and is being sold as-is with roughed in plumbing, wiring, furnace capable of central air and many custom interior details. The house has new windows and additional wood framed storm windows, new dimensional roof, copper gutters and tons of period woodwork. Paneling, doors and casings are Teak wood salvaged from the Bank of Shanghais, Singapore branch. The house is zoned B-2-B with an H-1 overlay.

Brokered And Advertised By: Turf Town Properties
Listing Agent: Jim McKeighen
