We are looking for a clean and courteous roommate to join us in our beautiful and spacious hillside mid-century house in West Seattle (near Morgan Junction). *Rent is $1,200. *Utilities average out to $150-200 a month per person. *Refundable security deposit is $1,167. *The current lease is up on August 19th and we plan to sign for another year, but the room is available now to sublet. The combination of our proximity to the water, parks, easy commute downtown, and community-focused vibe makes living here so fun. About the room: The room is on the first floor of the home and shares a bathroom with one other roommate. It is about 170 sq ft and includes a large closet. Windows face south and west with a great view of the mountains. The wall facing east is shared with the bathroom; the wall facing north with the living room. The room is unfurnished. For the right person who prefers more space and privacy, we are offering the alternative, larger daylight basement room (258 sq ft) with a private bathroom for $1,400. This room also has a private entrance and shares a wall with the garage. About the house: The house is a furnished 3bd / 2ba (2,280 sq ft) with a main floor, finished basement, back & front yards, garage, and deck with a view of the sound and Olympic mountains. There is plenty of street parking available. The floor plan is included in the pictures. We are very close to the RapidRide C line and 128 bus routes. The area is walkable and close to a bunch of great bars, shops, and restaurants. We often visit nearby Lincoln Park to walk along the water, swim in the heated saltwater pool, and occasionally spot orcas! About the housemates: There are 2 residents who will continue to live in the house as well as a cat. I (Hannah, she/her) am 30 years old, work in Human Resources, and like to read, collect houseplants, cook, and dote on my cat Misha. I work from home twice a week. Cora (she/her) is 30 years old, works at a law firm, and likes to sail competitively, bake, and travel. She works from home four times a week. Misha is a friendly and chatty 19-year-old indoor cat. She has full access to the common areas and places to sit throughout. We are a social house and often hang out together in the house or join one another on outings, but we appreciate our quiet personal time as well! We are looking for someone around the same age range (20s-30s). For us, this house is our home, rather than just somewhere to sleep. It's important that we are able to feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed, so we are looking for someone with a similar mindset. We are unable to accommodate couples, children, or cats/dogs.
