We're your friendly upstairs neighbors who respond quickly to your needs Our Climate: It's mild and rarely gets hot. This beautiful (really!), bright and cheery, environmentally friendly apartment has been remodeled and upgraded to be a healthier place to live, and save energy as well. Our two bedroom "in-law" apartment, with southern exposure (and a large, wrap around deck), and grand panoramic views of the hills, bay, Angel Island and Bay Bridge (the new one), is located in a safe and quiet, residential neighborhood with ample street parking. Our convenient hillside location (we are technically not in Sausalito, but that was the only close option listed on Craigslist) is a quick 2 minutes to the freeway, under 5 miles to the Golden Gate Bridge and a 3 minute walk down to regular buses (at the Southern Marin Golden Gate Transit hub) to downtown SF and the Sausalito ferry. Because there are miles of nearby, easy to access hiking and mountain biking trails, with abundant parking space at the trail head (if you don't want to walk the ten minutes up the hill to get there) you won't have to spend a lot of time (and gas money and tolls) driving somewhere to get out and enjoy the beauty of Southern Marin. Walking distance to Starbucks, Target, Anytime Fitness and the new Brazilian Steakhouse. There are two south-facing bedrooms (both about 11' x 12'), including a wool, carpeted master bedroom big enough for a king-size bed and other furniture. You enter it through two glass-paneled French doors that neatly slide back inside the walls. These doors connect the two bedrooms. Leaving the doors open expands the feeling of both rooms, while closing them isolates each room for more privacy and sound control. The master bedroom has three banks of track lights on dimmer switches, and walk-in closet lined with large sturdy shelving. The other bedroom can also be used as a guest room or home office. It has a neat little cove in it, in front of a window that faces the hills. Renters using this room as a home office often set up their work stations in the little cove, and look through the windows at the green hills (and fog rolling over them in summertime). NOTE: YOU MUST WALK THROUGH ONE BEDROOM TO GET TO THE OTHER - DOESN'T WORK FOR UNRELATED ROOMMATES. The modern, tiled, full kitchen, which is open to the living room, has a gas stove, new energy efficient and water saving dish washer, refrigerator, plenty of cabinets, and is bright and airy. To reduce already low utility bills we installed state of the art, "low E," energy efficient windows (and sliding glass door) throughout the apartment that let in the warmth of the sun when it is needed, and keep it out when it isn't. All the glass has an additional, maximum UV barrier film on it to prevent your possessions from fading in this bright environment. The sunny, south facing living room has a beautiful, sweeping view of the hills to the south and west, and its 12' by 17' space can easily accommodate a small dining area, and room for other furniture. You have your own inside washer and dryer, so you can do your laundry while sipping margaritas on your deck. This means you probably won't be going to the laundromat anymore, and we know you will really miss that. Sorry! Two photographers own/live on the property. We are wanting someone(s) who is/are neat and clean, appreciate the love and energy we have given to the space, and may also enjoy a having a place to do organic gardening.
