About the area:
Augusta, Montana is located at the base of the Rocky Mountain Front West of Great Falls and North of Helena. To our South is Yellowstone Park and to our North is Glacier Park. There are numerous lakes and rivers and many great hiking trails leading into the Scapegoat and Bob Marshall Wilderness areas. Augusta is one of the few old cow towns that still has several of its original buildings. The town offers a great K-12 school and everything one needs except for a hospital. We do have outstanding EMS and Fire services. The original town general merchandise store is still in operation and bears the names of both the current owners and the original founder, The Allen’s Manix Store. Augusta has several bars and restaurants, a gas station, a law office and a real estate office, Taylor Agency LLC. We are also home to many multi-generational family-owned Ranches and Farms. Outfitting businesses are a mainstay of the local economy, providing amazing opportunities for folks to enjoy the Wilderness experience. We are soon to be home to Benchmark Wrestling, a new state-of-the-art facility for Wrestling schools and other sports and wellness events. Augusta is also known for the famous Augusta Rodeo held last weekend in June. It’s a weekend filled with events and a major draw to the area!
