    Built in 1901, this Detached Colonial Revival Home in the middle of a Brownstone block is one of if not the only Colonial Revival Home in Brooklyn. This style of building is extremely rare in Bedford Stuyvesant with most of the original exterior details intact. In 1940 the home was owned by John Cashmore, a furniture manufacturer and Brooklyn Democratic politician. He lived here with his wife and son. That year he was elected to the office of Brooklyn Borough President, a job he held from 1940 until 1961, at 21 years, one of the longest lasting Brooklyn Borough presidents. In 1966, the home belonged to a judge, Albert R. Murray who sold it to the current owners. Since then the home was renovated inside in 2019, but the layout remains the same. The uniqueness of this property is that it has an additional lot that is ideal for parking which is rare in Bedford Stuyvesant. The original garage is still behind the covered car port in the driveway with a nice size backyard. The lot size is 34.83' X 100'. The building size is 19.25' X 32'. Inside the home, once you enter in the door you have a living room that leads to a dining room and a wide open kitchen. On the first floor there is also a newly renovated bathroom and access to the backyard and the basement which is unfinished.
