The Room: -A spacious, unfurnished, carpeted third-floor master bedroom with gorgeous windows and a walk-in closet. -Shared bathroom with the other upstairs roommate. -Available now/flexible move in until July 1 The Home: -The first floor has one bedroom, a medium-sized yard accessed through the bedroom, a garage, and washer/dryer. -The one-car garage is currently shared for storage by all three roommates. -The main floor has a spacious living room with beautiful windows, an electric fireplace, large, shared TV, dining area, kitchen, small balcony and a bathroom belonging to the downstairs bedroom. -The third floor has the two remaining bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and a large, shared storage closet. -Central heating, no AC. -Managed by Avenue One Property Management, who is prompt and easy to deal with. The current roommates: -Story is 32, and originally from Oregon. She moved to Seattle last September for a masters program in nutrition. She's generally pretty busy, but in her free time, she enjoys walking Green Lake, cooking, hiking, going to the gym, reading, and watching TV. -Shal is in her early 30's, originally from Jamaica, works in student engagement at a local college, and loves cooking and reading. -Daphne is a four-year-old ragdoll cat who enjoys chasing toy mice, getting her beauty rest, practicing parkour, and relaxing under her favorite bush in the yard. She's extremely friendly and would love to snuggle with you. The Location: -Located in Northeast Green Lake, near Retreat. Two blocks from the lake! -Groceries: Ample options in walking and short driving distance (PCC, Whole Foods, Safeway and Trader Joes are closest). -Transit: Two blocks from the Green Lake Park and Ride, and a 10-15 min walk from the Roosevelt Light Rail Station. -Parking: Street parking. Upon lease signing, the first month's rent is due, plus a security deposit of $900, which is paid directly to the outgoing roommate, by Venmo or check. Rent is due on the first of each month, and is paid directly to Avenue One via online portal, where automatic payments can be set up. We take turns buying shared household supplies (paper towels, dishwasher liquid, trash and compost bags, and toilet paper). House Rules and What We're Looking For: -We are kind, courteous, friendly and easy-going, and seeking the same. -We smile, say hello, and enjoy a kitchen chat or a living room hang/TV sesh, but also lead pretty busy lives. -We rotate a deep clean of the kitchen weekly or biweekly, and take turns vacuuming the main floor, and emptying the dishwasher and trash. -We are clean and tidy. We do dishes immediately, and are proactive about cleaning up after ourselves in our shared main floor. -We prefer our home to be a calm space where we can hang out. Neither roommate has guests over frequently. While friends are welcome, we ask that they are respectful of the space, and extremely noise conscious, as the downstairs roommate is in bed by 8:30-9pm. -Our ideal roommate is late 20's or older -Non-smoking/drugs -Pets: Daphne has lived with another cat before, and enjoyed it, so we are open to someone with one cat. We cannot accommodate a dog. If this sounds like a good fit, please tell us a bit about yourself, including your age, interests, occupation, current living situation, and why you're interested in shared housing. This is a lease takeover for an outgoing roommate. The current lease runs through August 31, 2026, and will then renew for another 12 months. Our preference is that the incoming roommate is committed to resigning the lease for September 2026-August 2027. All three roommates sign the lease with our property management company. Rent for the available room is $1,140 per month, locked in through the end of August, when it is subject to change per the new lease. The last two years, the rent increased $100 total/$33 per person, and $150 total/$50 per person, respectively.
