Allied Gardens is the best kept secret in San Diego, it's like living in an oasis. The convenience of living minutes from every major San Diego attraction, shopping, fine dining, parks, and schools, and yet it's still a quiet little middle class neighborhood. I love the fact that I'm walking distance to the San Diego Trolley station. Sports and recreation facilities are all around and I'm less than three miles from Mission Trails Park, a park with over 40 miles of trails, boating on Lake Murray, camping at Kumeyaay Lake, rock climbing, and a state-of-the-art visitor center. On many occasions I've walked two and a half miles to Qualcomm stadium to watch the San Diego Chargers and various sporting events. San Diego State University is just a short three mile bike ride from my home.
