The Casita stand alone unit smack dab in the middle of our backyard, fully renovated in spring 2023. The front door opens into a kitchen with a full size fridge, sink, and generous cabinet space, along with a two burner electric hotplate and Breville countertop oven. There is also a full size stacked washer dryer tucked in a nook behind the front door. The bedroom has a queen size bed, armoire with shelves and hanging space, a fold out futon chair, and large desk, along with bedside table and a small bookshelf. Heating is provided by an electric faux wood stove. We don't have an AC unit, but there is an overhead fan and a nice cross breeze. The bathroom is bigger than you would expect, with plenty of storage space and a large walk in shower with skylight. We are renting the unit fully furnished, with all of the basics you should need (linens, towels, kitchen implements, etc). Access is through a side gate next to our garage, that leads into the main area of our backyard (the building placement unfortunately doesn't allow for a more private entrance). There is lots of green and wild space in the yard that you would be welcome to share. Since the space is so integrated into our daily lives, we are looking for a tenant who will be comfortable with our two kids living their sometimes boisterous lives in close proximity to the unit, and also whom our kids are comfortable around in passing. We are looking for single occupancy, with minimal guest access. We occasionally will have dinner with friends in the backyard, but most of the time have a pretty quiet social life. We live on a quiet street with plentiful parking and easy access to nearby amenities. There is a shopping complex with a grocery store and Target less than a mile away and a few small neighborhood restaurants/shops in walking distance. We also have easy access to 101/280/880/17 and San Tomas/Central expressways. We can provide bike storage upon request. Month to month lease
