Contact 404-784-5759 for more information. This building was built in the late 1940’s as Fort McClellan began to grow. Originally this building housed the pharmacy complete with soda fountain. Over the years the building would be a grocery store, a carpet store, a pawn shop and many other incarnations before it was simply retired and used for storage. We purchased it three years ago and have slowly been remodeling ever since. It has been a wonderful experience for us. Growing our business(es) in this building has filled us with a lot of pride and we hope to find someone equally nostalgic about the property who will continue to care for it. When we came in, we immediately tore down all the walls and replaced them; all the old tiles were scraped and removed by hand; all the old wiring was removed and replaced. New drywall was added and we decided to knockdown the texture to mesh with the age of the building. We had a firm from Birmingham come in and wire the whole building with Ethernet connections which connect to a switch in the back network room. Because our business works with video and photography, we built a small studio complete with LED and studio lighting as well as a 90 degree green-screen cyclorama. Our center office houses our computer repair shop. This shop was created to offer affordable computer repair for locals and to pay for the building and recurring costs. This has been a great setup! The third office space is unfinished. It is the largest of the three spaces and would make a great retail space. At one point we thought about opening a coffee shop but time wouldn’t permit it. With Homeland Security, Alabama National Guard, K-9 Corps, and other organizations directly across the street, this is the closest location for food.
