This house had been the first tropical modern design for Puerto Rico in 1946 when it was built by young architecture firm Toro Y Ferrer, the duo who would go on to create the famed La Concha hotel, and the Supreme Court building - two more classic examples of the same architectural movement. Our three year restoration completed in 2024, aimed to bring back the timeless use of natural light throughout the house, while incorporating modern amenities and barefoot elegance. We used Puerto Rican hardwoods for custom doors, windows, and kitchen cabinetry. The original mid- century tile floors were restored, the concrete walls given a Venetian plaster, and the terrazzo design theme continued throughout the house. We are visiting family in Spain until January 2026. The house is available for rental from May 1, 2025 to mas o menos February 2026. This would be our first rental of this house, so you would be stepping into a turnkey situation and we would keep the team (gardener, cleaner, property manager) in place. Six month minimum.
