We designed the Sophia as a part of a floor plan series that emphasizes depth?allowing the plan to accommodate narrow lots without sacrificing space or comfort. Entering through the front door, you'll find yourself in a foyer (complete with a coat closet) that opens up into the kitchen and dining area on one side, and the stairway leading upstairs on the other. The Family Room flows cleanly from the dining area, giving a sense of openness. But we wanted to avoid the feeling of "one big room", so we've placed a large framed opening leading into the Family Room.When downstairs bedrooms connect directly to the Family Room, it's important to keep privacy in mind. To that end, we've designed two small hallways that reduce any direct line of sight from the Family Room into the bedrooms. In the Master Suite, you'll find a large, walk-in closet connected directly to the master bedroom (rather than requiring you to walk through the bathroom).Walking up the stairs, you'll enter a square-shaped bonus room that can accommodate a variety of different uses, and includes a closet. Connected to the bonus room, you'll find a short hallway that leads to a full bathroom and the fourth bedroom. This combination of a bonus room, a bathroom, and a bedroom makes the upstairs almost a house of its own.
