There have been several occasions in the summer where we left the windows open or accidentally left the garage door open all night and we were safe. There are regular police patrols in our neighborhood and they like to knock on our door and let us know we left the garage door open. In the summer you can see lemonade stands and kids playing in the sprinklers. There is a park up the street, a great sidewalk stroll about 3 blocks away. There are lots of kids and friendly neighbors. The neighbors are helpful and watch out for each other.
