About the house: Size: 1,250 square feet. Location: Top floor of a two-story house. The lower floor is occupied by a small family of 3. Their unit is separate from the top floor, and they pay their own utilities. Neither floor has access to the other. Shared spaces: Fully equipped kitchen, large living room with lots of sunlight, large dining room, bathroom, and backyard. (Note: some of the previous tenant's furniture is still in the flat but will be removed.) About the room: Size: 12x11 (132 square feet) Features: The room is unfurnished. Hardwood floors. Window faces the front door onto the street. The neighborhood: The Outer Mission is a small, residential, no-frills neighborhood on the south edge of the city. It's bounded by Geneva Avenue, Interstate 280, Mission Street, and Daly City. It's a working-class community and a melting pot of different cultures. Most of the residents here are native San Franciscans. It's a quiet neighborhood consisting mostly of families. Parking can be difficult, but the driveway can be rented out at $50 a month. The 14 Muni line runs a short distance away. The freeways and main roads like Mission Street, Alemany Boulevard, and Bayshore Boulevard border the neighborhood. Balboa Bart and Daly City Bart are also nearby. Costs: Lease: One year. Rent: $1,300 a month. Security deposit: $1,000 upon move-in. Total move-in cost: One month rent plus deposit = $2,300 Shared costs: Utilities (Power and Internet) and shared household items (toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning products). About me: I'm a male in my late 30s, mature, friendly, and respectful. I work in a courthouse in the Civic Center and work from home roughly 2 to 3 days a week. You'll also be sharing the flat with my friendly, 20lb., spaniel mix named Sven. He's easy going, friendly, trained, and mostly keeps to himself. (Please note: No additional pets are allowed per the lease - sorry.) About you: Friendly, mature, responsible, good communicator, and clean. Preferably you're used to living with other people and like dogs. Willing to keep common areas clean and help with the upkeep of the flat. Please take note that I like to keep common areas clean and tidy. Would want to live with someone who can commit to regularly cleaning up after themselves and the occasional deep cleaning. It would be most helpful to share household responsibilities.
