If we could uproot this house and yard and take it with us, we would be happy homeowners. This house was built in the 1940's and has all the charm from that era: hardwood floors, ceramic tile, built ins, crown moldings, and chair rails. Definitely not a cookie cutter home. It also boasts lots of updates that make living here a dream: gas range, 3 full bathrooms, stainless steel appliances, subway tile, and a heat pump, just to name a few. From the vaulted, cathedral ceilings in the family room, to the gorgeous gas fireplace in the living room, and granite countertops in the large, eat in kitchen, this house is hard not to fall in love with. Besides the house itself, we are going to miss the beautiful old chestnut tree in the backyard. Many evenings have been spent around the fire pit area or on the patio or deck looking up at that majestic tree. Theres also a cool treehouse with a slide that the kids are begging to take with us, as primary dinner maker, will miss the proximity to some really great local restaurants. An easy jaunt will find you at the doorsteps to some of Blacksburg's tastiest restaurants and watering holes. Wish we didn't have to move!
