Quirky, artistic, and never boring, Fremont is one of Seattle's most-loved neighborhoods. Residents call it the "Center of the Known Universe" and if you are looking for apartments in Fremont, it may quickly become the center of your universe. Woodland Park, home of the Woodland Park Zoo, borders the northern edge of the neighborhood. The University of Washington is a few minutes east of Fremont. This colorful, trendy, bohemian neighborhood is about four miles north of Downtown Seattle.
