Very private adorable family home in historic Abita Springs. Home is located two blocks from St. Tammany Trace. Located on a large private lot perfect and very safe for children(dead end street-no passing vehicles). Very good school district. School buses pass to pick up and drop off children on corner. Located in a very quiet area. Home has new floors and fresh paint throughout and new roof. Bathrooms have been remodeled as well. Neighborhood Description Home is located in historic Abita Springs. Both the elementary and middle school are within 5 minute drive. The park, pavillion, river and library are also within 3-5 minute drive. The Easter bunny and Santa Claus come down the streets to see the children during Easter and Christmas. There is a large town celebration for Halloween at Town Hall for the children. The local businesses provide candy for the kids. There is also face painting and jumpers free to the children as well. For Mardi Gras, there is an annual Push Mow parade in which any Abita resident can participate. It is a great community for a family. I will always be fond of this area-great memories and great people.
