The Western wall with it's built in sofa was designed to swing out onto the deck to create the Hikea, a Hawaiian term for "platform of gatherings." Gorgeous redwood walls, polished concrete floors and interior rock features help create this amazing setting. The iconic Carling Residence is considered to be one of Lautner's greatest designs.
