SHELBY PARK: Fantastic Possibilities Await. This house is a work of art. Imagine what it would look like if a fairy tale and a circus had a baby and there you have it. The unique features and the addition on the house were done by artist Earl Blevins. Blevin's graduated from the Chicago art institute in the 1940's. He moved to Louisville and did store front/window designs. He was a designer for Hubbuch's, did much of the metal work at the Palace and St James fountain. Many of the features in the house are leftover materials from projects he did around town. He also owned a couple of restaurants in town. One of them was named ''The Blue Eyed Pisces'' on 4th St. He painted replicas of Gauguin's and had them in the restaurant.
