One of the pools and hot tubs is currently being renovated and should be completed by June 2019. In February 2017, I paid $114,000 to my widow's family for their 50% of the house. The value of the house at the time was $228,000. I am not a new buyer and did not buy the house for $114,000. I am the sole owner of the house and I have paid the mortgage off.
