Throughout the year a variety of activities are available: fishing, boating, swimming, water skiing, bike riding, ATVing, golfing, hunting, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing to name some of the most popular. Also, the area has great shopping and flea markets, the restaurants and supper clubs are second to none, and there are two casinos within a reasonable drive! Balsam is a three bedroom cabin located right on the shore of Westbay Lake, where the view is spectacular. It is part of Lolies Westbay Lake Condominium. The comfortable cabin was built in the 1950s and sits on a concrete block crawl space. For appliances, it includes a full size gas stove and oven, refrigerator, plus a stacked washer and dryer. For heat, there are a LP gas space heater and freestanding gas log fireplace. For cooling, a window air conditioner is included. It has an easy to care for tankless water heater, a newer large capacity private insulated septic system, and a newer shared drilled well. It is between two permanent docks and near Lolies historic covered boathouse (recently featured in the book Boathouses by Tom Freeman). The cabin comes with a double boat slip and heavy-duty ShoreStation boat lift (SSV30108) to store your boat during the open water season. In bad weather no need to worry, your boat and equipment are safe and dry. There is a playground area, boat launch, fish-cleaning house, and tool shed. For storage there is a large garage, and an additional garage with storage compartments. All of this is located on a quiet private lane, in a beautiful northwoods setting.
