It's 1650 square feet with a wrap-around front porch (and great swing and hammock in the front) and large back deck with a small pool and garden in the back. The pool is great for Dallas summers (hot); and there is also a fireplace for Dallas winters (brrrrrr.) We have a pool cleaner and gardener, which we would just include in the price of the rent. The place is 1 mile from Deep Ellum; 1 mile from both Greenville and Henderson where many great restaurants, bars and shops are; it's close to the freeway, but far enough where you don't hear traffic; about 3 miles from Downtown and basically within biking or a short drive anywhere in Dallas. Our neighborhood is called Junius Heights. It is is about a five-minute walk to Lipscomb Elementary School (not sure if you have kids). The school has a dual-language program, a very strong and influential PTA, it is diverse, is safe, has two large park/play spaces, and offers everything from elementary sports to drama and a range of academic clubs. It's also worth noting that an organic garden cafe (a true gem) is about a five-minute walk from us (in the opposite direction of the school). The food is grown in their own garden; they have beautiful patio and offer great brunch on the weekends. Across from the cafe is a small park where plenty of families with small kids hang out. We are also about a two-minute walk from Swiss Ave, which is a very popular street where local families take evening strolls and where joggers do their thing. We are also about a 5-minute bike ride from the Santa Fe trail which goes straight to White Rock Lake and the Arboretum (about a 10-15 min. bike ride once on the trail). $3,500 a month (includes pool service and gardening). The place will be available early August (first or second week), but we can also be flexible on a move in date. NOTE: The house is occupied at the moment, but able to show most evenings. I'm willing to share more pictures or talk on phone, too. No smoking inside. The renters will be expected to water the inside plants and those in the garden on warm weeks.
