The room comes completely set up with everything you need: full-sized bed, large standing desk perfect for remote work, empty bookshelf/hutch for your treasures, and a spacious empty closet for your belongings. While the room doesn't get tons of natural light, it offers a peaceful retreat from the city. The ceilings are crazy high and we're on the third (top) floor, so not many other noises disturb us. The pictures taken are on the messier side of where I like to keep the house at usually. All of the things on the desk and bookshelf in the room will find new homes before your move-in, and a cabinet and fridge shelf will be cleared for you. The Vibe: I'm a 30-year-old queer professional who works primarily from home. I maintain an active but mellow social life - occasionally hosting friends for board game nights, and throwing a potluck party about twice a year. I have one cat who would love to make your acquaintance and demand that you pat her until she's satisfied (which is never). I work from home and take Zoom calls during business hours, but I'm mindful of shared spaces. Full disclosure: dishes aren't my strong suit, but I promise to step up my kitchen cleanup game with a roommate! And if I win the lottery (or get a bonus), a dishwasher is on the list of first home improvements to make.
